Siberia's Krasnoyarsk, six new recruits volunteered to join the military to assist in the front-line combat, against the backdrop of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan from 1987 to 1989. They underwent rigorous and brutal training, including various special training programs. By the end of 1987, this special unit, known as the "Ninth Assault Team," was deployed to Afghanistan with the mission to secure Hill 3234 to cover the retreat of Soviet soldiers. While successfully ensuring the safe passage of the Soviet troops, the Ninth Assault Team found themselves running out of supplies. In the bloody and brutal battlefield, their selfless sacrifice and unwavering determination were portrayed in a particularly poignant and tragic light.
